Font Style and Colour

Font Style and Colour
For our titles we decided to use a font style that has a hand-drawn feel to it. We did this as it gives the effect that our film is like a diary and that its going to have a girl telling her story which is like most teen angst films. For example Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging tells Georgia's story to popularity and falling in love with the boy of her dreams. We took most inspiration from Juno as their title font looks hand-drawn and we liked that as it gives the effect of a story being told and also suits our film well as we have made a low-budget film. This gives the feel that it is a low budget film but also gives an impression that we have used a smart and professional font that suits our film.

For the colour of our font, we decided on pastel colours and these have a soft, delicate and feminine feel and best suit a story about a girl as pastel girls our seen to be suited for younger girls and boys like bold, harsh colours. secondly, pastel colours are represented with spring. Spring is the time of the year where all the plants grow and blossom and is the season of new beginnings. This suits the film well as it's a new beginning for Rose at a new school and at the school she 'grows and blossoms' and people soon realise that she isn't all that everyone seems.
